Meet Dave

I grew up in the same small town as Mike and share a lot of the same memories concerning running. I remember running for fun when we were 8  years old, maybe out of boredom or just to pass time, but they are great memories.

Our runs didnt take us very far at first, but they were fun and helped plant the seed.

My life went down hill after graduation, sort of. I didn’t run or workout for almost 10 years and as I look back I know why. I smoked and drank, didn’t care at all about the things I put into my body and didnt care much about health.

So as I approached 28, I snapped out of it. Soon, I quit making  excuses and bought a pair of running shoes. After all, I wasn’t very happy for that decade.

Now, I have a good job in the nuclear field, beautiful family, decent house in a small town and a great friend that never gave up on me. Thanks Mike!

My immediate goal is to run a 5k on September 29 and after that work my way up to a 10k (6.2 miles) and maintain that for the rest of my life. I have no intention of running a marathon. It is grueling on the body and joints. You never know though, my views, ideas and goals could and more that likely, change.
