I haven’t done a lot since the 22nd and I don’t regret it. I enjoyed the holiday and didn’t over-eat too much. I did eat healthy for most of my seven day vacation. (Dec. 22 to Dec. 29) I want to run today or go to the gym tomorrow. I have no fear of running in the winter anymore and will not use it as an excuse to remain lazy. I want to add for my New Year’s resolution that I will start to train differently this year. I am planning to run on Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays or Saturdays. It will break down like this: short fast runs on Mondays, like sprints and repeats. Mid-ranged runs on Wednesdays, like 3-5 milers and on Fridays or Saturdays I’ll do long runs, 6 to 13.6 miles. I want to do a half marathon this year. My goal for this year was met by doing a 10k, 6.2 miles several times through out the running season. I never officially entered a 10k race, but I ran a 10k distance that was timed and I’m happy with that. I believe my fastest time was 63 minutes on May 19. Hope 2008 was good to you and that 2009 is even better!
